The 2012 Vdub Day Festival has been moved to Hartbeespoort Resort, an improved venue with a variety of accommodation facilities which is situated on 20 hectare of prime estate at the Hartbeespoortdam area.
There are chalets, modern log cabins, 180 powered camp sites, 2 attractive swimming pools, an 80 seater restaurant, putt-putt range, full skate park, high water slide, trampolines, jumping castle, jungle gym, volleyball court, jacuzzi, boma and large luscious spaces for visitor usage.
The venue has fully tarred roads for ease of access and 24hr armed guards as well as boom gates for security control. There are no less than two dozen closed circuit security cameras monitoring the premises.
Hartbeespoort is easy to reach from the greater Johannesburg area and involves a mere 45 minute drive from the inner city highway.

The resort will feature a large lawned Vdub display area, a full Dyno & wheelie machine, Sound-off competition, portable playstations, VIP marquees (hosted by Red Bull & Russian bear vodka), full-size entertainment lapa with celebrity DJs and approximately 18 sponsor stands with new vehicles and an assortment of products.
A variety of impressive prizes are sponsored by Autostyle, Powerpipes, Mintys, Webasto, Eurohoodride and the Goldwagen franchise. The Revo brand will undoubtedly have a fresh concoction of display vehicles.

Over 3000 people attended the last show. If you are into VW, barbeques and music then the upcoming VDdub weekend (4th & 5th February 2012) promises to be a superb event.
For out of towners who are not familiar with the route, join the Showtime Fanatics convoy leaving Joburg central at 10am Saturday morning.
The VWCSA will also be hosting an annual breakfast run, details to be published on the forum.
